East to West for 48 hours

Unless you are going on business, you wouldn't normally travel across the country for 48 hours, but William and Ellie had a couple days off of school which allowed us 48 instead of 24 hours, so we went for it. Back to our "home" and friends who we love and miss so much. The kids were so happy, they could hardly keep a smile off their faces....until they crashed of course!!! The 3 hour time difference was not really in our favor as the kids wanted to party as long as their friends were up even though it was very late for them. Ellie and Shay shared a surprise b-day together with several friends at the North Bend theatre!! It was a blast for them!!!
Ellie below with 2 of her best friends, Shay & Lijy Loo before the big SURPRISE. Lijy was "in the know" but did an awesome job of keeping it to herself! William spent almost the entire weekend with BOB! I hardly saw him!! He was also able to see Kian and Brent, who unfortunately did not get his photo taken!! That smile on William's face is priceless!!! Although he has made a few friends here, there's nothing like seeing the friends you love and the ones who know and love you!! William shocked me by giving his testimony in sacrament meeting on Sunday. He was even excited to visit Seattle so he could go to church & see his buddies from his old quorum! That's excitement to the extreme for him......the child who would never give a talk in primary! Ellie with Shay, Cameron, I, Lijy Loo and Tori

A highlight of the weekend was visiting Tethers in Seattle! A must see when you visit, with an art gallery below and design studio above. We wish Stanley the best in his new adventure!! Here's the whole Tethers family! We love you guys!
I stayed with my friends Michelle and Kim and am so thankful they allowed me to crash with them. Our friends treated us like royalty while we were there!!! When I asked the kids if it was worth the trip for 48 hours, they said, ABSOLUTELY!! It was terrific to go but very hard this time to leave. I cried the whole way to the airport realizing that I really DON"T live there anymore. It was still dark as we had to leave so early in the am, so fortunately my kids (and the driver) didn't notice me. We will visit often. Only regrets this trip.....why didn't we take more photos??? And where did the time go???? Not enough time to catch up with our friends!
